Wednesday February 22nd, 2012

The Valley Academy Charter School on Rose Garden Lane invited us to take part in their “Read-in” for the students. As a living history cowboy I’m going to read a little out of one of my favorite books by Will James. We will be one of several Phoenix area well-known personalities taking part in the “read-in” encouraging students to explore the world through books..

============================================================

Saturday February 18th, 2012

Concho and I thoroughly enjoyed “ridin’ shotgun” for the True West Magazine entry in the annual Wickenburg, AZ Gold Rush Days parade. In honor of Arizona’s Centennial, we were authentically outfitted as a 1912 Rodeo Cowboy … wooley chaps, original 1906 parade saddle, and all. Editor, Bob “Boze” Bell and his lovely crew of ladies passed out more than a hundred copies of True West to a few lucky parade watchers. The parade was a huge success.

========================================================

January 12th, 2012

Had a real good time with the Green Valley, AZ Wisconsin Club down south of Tucson. A year ago I presented the 1890 American Cowboy for them at their annual meeting and this time we stepped back a few centuries and covered the Spanish Colonial period. It was quite a success … They fed me real good and nobody went to sleep. How much better can it get than that for an entertainer?

========================================================

  January 6,2012

The Phoenix Light Rail event was a blast. About 6:00AM January 6th Concho and I met up with Wyatt and Morgan Earp along with John Wayne and a several other old West reenactors as well as representavies of the Light Rail at the Downtown Phoenix Central Station where we visited with folks and handed out free all day Light Rail passes in honor of Arizona’s centennial. we all made the morning news on three different TV stations.

==============================================================

                                Rose Mofford Photo Shoot

The photo session and breakfast with former Arizona Govornor, Rose Mofford, was quite an experienc. She is one classy lady, friendly and down-to-earth. She thoroughy enjoyed the cowboy wrist cuffs I made for her. L to R: Me, the Honorable Rose Mofford, John Wayne Anderson, and Bob Rolloff

==============================================================

                                Cave Creek Wild West Days

The evening of November 4 th we had a grand time hanging out at the Cattleman’s Restaraunt with Marshall Trimble, Bob “Boze” Bell, Charlie LeSuer, Bob Roloff, John Wayne Anderson (no relation) and a host of other celebreties and Cave Creek dignitaries. Concho and I portrayed the Spanish Colonial Caballero in the parade on Saturday the 5th and at an arena performance Sunday afternoon of the 6th. Being the high-end Bridle horse he is, Concho never fails to generate as much interest after his performances as during one of them.
